Larger body size, larger ears, thicker face
Colorful and distinctive pelage
Found in south-eastern Madagascar
Only nocturnal primate known to be sexually dichromatic
Appears to be the largest of the known Lepilemur species
Endangered species in need of protection
Region is currently extremely difficult to access due to local
unrest, potentially increasing active threats to their habitat
